Terms and Conditions

InUnity Choir: Terms and Conditions 2025

​

Membership of InUnity Choir means an acceptance of these terms and conditions with an understanding that it is not possible to make exceptions for individual circumstances.

​

Weekly Choir Sessions

InUnity Choir meets to rehearse for at 36 weeks of the year with extra sessions, events and performances throughout the year on top of that schedule. The sessions are scheduled in accordance with our termly calendar and dates can be found in the members only section of our website, within the Choirmate App or emailed directly to you on request.

Membership

InUnity Choir membership is payable monthly via the Stripe subscription service. Membership is £270 per year spread over 12 months equating to £22.50 per month from the date you set up your subscription. InUnity Choir does not have access to your bank details or handle your payment. Payment is made through Stripe (www.stripe.com) who are regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority.

Membership of InUnity Choir commences from when you accept the terms & conditions during the subscription sign up process. By agreeing to these terms, you are signing up to pay any applicable fees shown at the start of the payment process and when confirming your payment instruction. If your payment fails due to your card expiring or there not being sufficient funds in the account then we will contact you for that month’s payment via another method.

InUnity Choir membership gives you full access to the InUnity Community members’ area of the website and our ChoirMate App where learning resources including lyric sheets and mp3’s of the harmony parts all are accessible.

Absence

We don’t offer refunds or carry-overs for non-attendance.

​

Session Cancellation

In the event that a session is cancelled due to severe weather, choir leader illness, or other circumstances beyond our control, members will be contacted by email. The cancelled session will either be rearranged in the current or following term: no cash refunds will be given.

Cancelling your Membership

You can cancel your membership at any time. There is a 28 day notice period from the date of cancellation.

Your membership will cease 28 days later with one final payment of £22.50 being taken.

Code of Conduct

InUnity Choir aims to create a safe and positive environment for all and therefore we operate as professionally as possible in our code of conduct and expect the following:

​

  • Punctual attendance to rehearsals & performances

  • The wearing of appropriate uniform when requested by the Choir Leader for public engagements

  • Members should respect all fellow members, their Choir Leader and any other staff engaged by InUnity Choir.

  • Negative behaviour, whether written or verbal (including on social media), towards other Choir Members, the Choir Leaders, Staff, Choir Volunteers or Members of the Public, (or any misuse of the members area on the website) will lead to that Member being asked to leave the choir. No refund of membership will be given under these circumstances.

  • InUnity Choir cannot be held financially responsible for injury or damage caused by a member’s misconduct or inappropriate behaviour.

  • Members are liable to pay for any breakages or damage to the contents, furniture, equipment etc. belonging to InUnity Choir or the venue proprietor. InUnity Choir accepts no liability for loss or damage to property suffered on the premises or grounds.

 

Music Arrangements

The harmonies, concepts and resources used in InUnity Choir are owned by InUnity Choir. In taking part in any rehearsal, performance, workshop or event it is agreed that any use of resources, techniques and ideas will not be used, amended, copied or replicated at any other event, or to any group or in any venue. If found to be used, legal action will ensue against the individual. The resources can only be used with an up to date membership and InUnity Choir reserves the right to suspend or cancel any subscription that is in breach of the Membership Terms and Conditions.

Events and Performances

Choir members do not pay to perform although it may be necessary to charge for transport, and/or extra rehearsals for performances. All performances and events are optional.

Uniform

InUnity Choir T-shirts are required for events and performances, and should be worn with black bottoms and can be ordered via the choir website.

​

Social Media & Marketing

InUnity Choir administrators reserve the right to remove any inappropriate remarks, comments, photographs and videos that may compromise its intellectual property and the feelings and privacy of its members. We reserve the right to block a member from any social media platform without warning if inappropriate remarks are made.

In turn, InUnity Choir will not post any footage that may cause offence or embarrassment to any of its members. Upon joining it is agreed that photographic, video, images and sound are used for advertising and marketing purposes in relation to InUnity Choir

Health and Safety

The health and safety of members of InUnity Choir is paramount. While we do carry full insurance, it is the responsibility of every member to act responsibly and not risk the health and safety of themselves and others. InUnity Choir assumes no responsibility for accidents or injury to individuals participating in rehearsals or performances.

It is the responsibility of members to make InUnity Choir aware of any relevant health issues they may have that may affect their performance at rehearsals and events. The Choir Leader will make reasonable adjustments and offer support to members with health problems and disabilities

InUnity Choir is not responsible for loss or damage of the personal effects of members during rehearsals, performances or social events. Members are responsible for their own property and wellbeing whilst attending rehearsals and performances. It is advised that members wear comfortable clothing and enclosed footwear to rehearsals and bring water to stay hydrated.

Equality, Diversity and Safeguarding

InUnity Choir embraces equality, diversity and inclusivity of its members and every endeavour is made to accommodate those with health issues or mobility problems. Please make your Choir Leader aware of any issues that may hinder full participation in rehearsals or performances.

Data Protection

InUnity Choir respects the information we hold on you and that we take the security of your information very seriously. Your personal information will not be disclosed to any third party. Members should inform us of any important changes e.g. a change of email address. We reserve the right to take photographs, video and sound recordings during the sessions for use in our website and general advertising etc.

Our Rights

We reserve the right to amend InUnity Choir’s calendar and/or the price of the membership. We will give members 1 full month’s notice of any adjustments.
